A new do

as much as i would love to let denvers hair grow long, i can't seem to resist that sweet handsome little man look right after a refreshing haircut. it seems the shorter his hair gets, the longer his lashes, the bluer his eyes, and the more kissable his cheeks!
i think this was the first time there was no tears, no clutching mama's hand, not even one complaint.
we didn't even have to bribe him with a balloon.....
i suppose my guy is growing up on me, oh dear.

and a hairdo like this....makes my heart skip a beat every time.

happy saturday friends..

Before Sunset

this is my idea of a beautiful day.  cold and still and wintry. not too cold to go outside, and yet cold enough where ya need to bundle up and blast the heat! there's something i love about frosty grass and iced toes. gets me missing my homeland.
Nev and i escaped the house for a bit today, rushing to get a few pics before sunset.
a gloomy, overcast day always makes for good pictures:)

and Nev wants to move to Florida??? Whoa!?
never!

I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.  ~Andrew Wyeth

"By nature people are learning animals. Birds fly; fish swim; humans think and learn. Therefore, we do not need to motivate children into learning by wheedling, bribing, or bullying. We do not need to keep picking away at their minds to make sure they are learning. What we need to do - and all we need to do - is to give children as much help and guidance as they need and ask for, listen respectfully when they feel like talking, and then get out of the way. We can trust them to do the rest."

Berney's Back!

today was the first day back for toddler tales at the library. the puppet Berney was on his holiday vacation until now, and were grateful he's back safe and sound.
we hung around a little longer today, looking at books, snapping some photos, and taking in the silence, (one thing Denver hasn't mastered yet).

funny how you can be in such a small confined area, but yet have any time or place on Earth right at your fingertips. now thats pretty cool.

the sun is shining today! now i'm off to market. eek.

happy tuesday friends.
xoxo
